Valley Pet Sitting Inc.
is a thriving dog walking and pet sitting business based out of Woodland Hills but services the entire San Fernando Valley.
We are looking for an Office Administrator to run day-to-day operations with the company.
Duties include, but are not limited to, running our workflow database, ensuring all pet sitters are at proper locations in real time, managing our clients and sitters, sales and intake of new clients, scheduling, and handling pet-sitting emergencies as they come up.
We are also looking for someone that also has some marketing experience to help support our marketing team as well as our office team.
We are looking for someone who is a *quick thinker/problem solver* with excellent multitasking skills and communication skills.
This is a fast paced industry requiring office staff to take on a leadership role with sitters and guide them under pressure while handling several other tasks.
Work will be part time starting at 20-25 hours a week for office work + additional in field pet sitting hours depending on availability and seasonal requirements of the position.
There is a potential to move to full time which can be discussed further.
The office hours needed will be the evening shifts working as late as 7pm, must be available to work evenings on the weekends and assist during the holidays.
Holiday availability is a MUST but do our best accommodate time with family and friends inbetween.
Training time will be done in office with management, but once you have completed probationary period you will have the opportunity to work remotely as long as you are in our service areas – Please DO NOT Apply if you are not in the area.
You must have a private, quiet workspace where you can answer calls and perform business tasks uninterrupted.
*Requirements:* * Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in running an office * Tech Savvyness with computers & computer programs like Word, Excel, Pages, etc.
Basic understanding of navigating Social Media (FB, IG, Tiktok) * Animal Experience/Knowledge * Minimum 1 year commitment * Holiday availability (all major holidays and three day weekends) * Reliable Vehicle (Your own - not shared) * Laptop and a Smartphone with a data plan (Your own - not shared) * Quiet/private remote workspace & Wifi * Multitasking / prioritizing tasks * Proactive thinker/Problem Solver * Teamplayer * Knowledge in graphic design for pictures/videos is a plus * Social Media/Marketing experience is a plus Please send us a cover letter and let us know your experience in an office, with pets, as well as why you would like to work with us!
