77 Job Summary: The Foundation Specialist is responsible for assisting in meeting annual revenue targets by identifying, engaging, cultivating, and ultimately soliciting major gifts from regional donors, thereby advancing the organizational mission and creating meaningful impact in the lives of both donors and beneficiaries of that mission.
Supports fundraising efforts through donor research and tracking, stewardship, special events, the Capital Campaign, annual programs, support groups, direct mail and monthly e-news.
Represents the Foundation at community events as appropriate.
Licensure and Certifications: N/A Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience Experience: Minimum 2 years of Fundraising, Communication, Marketing or related experience Experience with healthcare philanthropy preferred Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of donor prospecting, cultivation, stewardship best practices Strong independent decision making and judgement skills Expertise in oral and written communications and public speaking with a variety of constituencies Strong interpersonal and influencing skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize work effectively Experience creating, overseeing, and reconciling expense and revenue budgets Problem analysis and resolution Command of teamwork and customer service Knowledge of fundraising database management and record keeping preferred Physical Demands – Clerical/Administrative Non-Patient Care: Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change.
Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing.
Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Continuous use of near vision, hearing and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
