The Store Manager is responsible for the effective coordination of store activities in a manner which maximizes sales, earnings, customer satisfaction, and the development of personnel.
A Store Manager must actively develop and maintain a team approach in the day-to-day, month-to-month, and year over year management of the store, achieve budgeted sales and profit projections while directing their associates.
It is also paramount for a Store Manager to have an eye for detail and be able to keep a finger on the pulse of the store and staff at all times.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities* *include the following but not limited to:*
1.
Ensure compliance of established procedures, practices, sales and security as stated in the Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures
2.
Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
3.
Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
4.
Assist with Recruitment by gathering resumes from walk-in candidates
5.
Effectively handle customer complaints or issues
6.
Prepare and review daily bank transactions – assist with any banking errors
7.
Control and maintain knowledge of monetary and inventory counts
8.
Ensure workplace safety by communicating any safety issues to management
9.
Deter workplace theft by securing store merchandise and live devices
10.
Work alongside the retail sales staff to identify current and future customer requirements
11.
Maintain store cleanliness and compliance with carrier planograms
12.
Review and respond to management requests/queries in a timely manner; based on work schedule
13.
Ensure the staff adheres to all opening and closing procedures
14.
Active involvement in creation of team schedules; review and approve timesheets
15.
Ensure team emails are read and reviewed by all staff members
16.
Encourage and maintain company culture
17.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
