What You’ll Do: The PR Specialist will be responsible for increasing awareness of Munchkin and Curio products by facilitating the best possible editorial coverage in in press, podcasts, earned/paid media, partnerships, and events.
Responsibilities will range from managing our coverage tracker, earned media, reporting, awards, influencer and press seeding, events, implementing PR campaigns, among other duties.
This includes: Assist with PR strategy for Munchkin and Curio Craft compelling press releases, pitches, and other written materials that effectively communicate brand messages Manage PR calendar inclusive of press release news, product launches, and pitching schedules aligned with key marketing priorities and evergreen programming Assist in day-to-day seeding efforts including gifting Monitor media coverage and report on brands’ editorial/press performance, report back on KPIs Collaborate closely with social and brand marketing teams Assist social media team as needed with some day-to-day tasks, especially from an earned media perspective Assist with any additional production coordination regarding large upcoming events Other duties as needed Bring It! Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/English/PR/Communications or similar discipline preferred.
3+ years of public relations experience, consumer-packaged goods industry preferred.
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and excellent presentation skills a highly professional manner.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Passionate and driven.
A demonstrated willingness to roll-up sleeves and do what it takes to drive initiatives to success.
Superior writing and editing skills and strong proofreading and grammar skills with a proven ability to create unique and compelling positioning and messaging.
Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.
) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Software/Platform skills: Meltwater, Cision, Slack, AirTable, CoverageBook, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube.
