WANTED: 1967-1972 Mercedes 250 or 280 W108 (Los Angeles)

I am not selling a car.
Photos are not mine -- they are examples of what I am searching for.
I am looking for an inexpensive 1967-1972 Mercedes 280SE or 280SEL (W108) to do a rolling restoration on.
I'm guessing there are forgotten W108s all over Southern California gathering dust in garages or backyards and that is what I am interested in.
I am not a professional car or parts reseller -- I am just a guy who has wanted a W108 since I was a kid in the 1980s and I enjoy restoring things.
It would be a dream for me to find the right W108 in a neglected condition and bring it back to life and make it my own.
So if you or someone you know has a forgotten Mercedes 280 waiting to be loved again, please let me know!
