*Job Title:* Production Assembler I
*Job Summary:* The Production Assembler I undertakes mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly tasks, focusing on small parts or components, following clear instructions and adhering to company policies and safety protocols.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conducts mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly of small parts or components as per company instructions and procedures.
* Reviews shop traveler route cards or simple schematic drawings to ensure the correct sequence of operations.
* Positions minuscule parts (e.
g.
, ceramic boards, crystals, gauges) under a binocular microscope using tweezers or positioning fixtures.
* Adjusts, aligns, and solders fine wires to resistors and base parts; bonds or seals parts with epoxies using direct heating elements or ovens.
* Performs various in-process testing procedures.
* Adheres strictly to all safety policies and procedures.
* Completes any other duties as assigned.
*Job Specifications:*
* *Education:* A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is preferred.
* *Certifications:* Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field are advantageous.
* *Years Experience:* 0-2 years of relevant experience.
* *Skills:*
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Proficient in operating various hand tools and light machinery.
* Basic mathematical skills.
* Ability to comprehend and interpret company documents such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedures.
* Excellent manual dexterity for working with small parts.
* Proficient in problem-solving using established procedures.
* Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
*Work Schedule:* Regular, consistent attendance is expected.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and additional hours as required.
