*POSITION OVERVIEW:*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Takeoff Estimator to join our dynamic small team at CAS Building Specialists.
As a Takeoff Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the initial phases of our construction projects by accurately quantifying materials, labor, and costs through the takeoff process.
Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects, ensuring precision in project estimates, and ultimately influencing our competitive edge in the industry.

*ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Project Analysis:
o Review and interpret construction project plans, blueprints for new construction, and contract documents.
o Meet at job sites with sub-contractors and analyze costs then submit for approval.
Quantity Takeoff:
o Perform detailed material takeoffs from project drawings, including excavation, concrete, steel, finishes, etc.
o Utilize Microsoft Excel and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in quantifying project components.
Cost Estimation:
o Develop comprehensive cost estimates based on the quantity takeoffs, considering material costs, labor rates, equipment, and overhead.
o Collaborate and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
Documentation:
o Prepare and maintain documentation of all takeoff and estimation activities, ensuring clarity and transparency in the estimating process.
o Contribute to the preparation of bid proposals by providing detailed breakdowns of estimated costs.
Continuous Improvement:
o Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to continuously refine estimating processes.
o Provide feedback and suggestions for improving efficiency and accuracy in the estimating department.
*QUALIFICIATIONS:*
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
· Proven experience as a Takeoff Estimator in the construction industry
· Proficiency in using construction takeoff software and tools.
· Strong analytical and mathematical skills
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
*LANGUAGE SKILLS:* Fluency in English with ability to communicate effectively with management, clients, vendors, and internal staff.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
* Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility at least 8 hours in length.
* Must be able to exert well-paced ability to remain organized and remain calm during high-stress situations.
* Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

*SALARY:* $80,000 to $120,000
