We are looking for a construction estimator, specializing in concrete/foundation for our growing company.
Position is a full time and salary based on experience.
Seeking a very skilled, highly organized professional that is looking for a long-term growth position.
The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with construction plans, doing material take offs, and inputting labor costs.
You must have great attention to detail & excellent communication skills.
*Construction Estimator Job Responsibilities:*
\* Read and analyze construction plans and specifications.
\* Perform accurate quantity take offs.
\* Have a good understanding of construction labor and costs.
\* Be able to communicate with various material vendors.
\* Develop proposals for construction projects.
\* Writes up and presents budgets and reports for projects.
\* Assist with project management.
\* Putting together submittal packages for projects.
\* Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
\* Attend pre-construction site visits.
*Construction Estimator Qualifications and Skills:*
\* Proven experience as a construction estimator
\* Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
\* Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics
\* Knowledge of Plan swift (not required)
\* Ability to navigate specifications and plans
\* Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
\* Close attention to detail
\* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
\* Proficient in Auto Cad/Revit a plus
\* Previous concrete estimating a plus
\* An organized and systematic approach to monitoring and reviewing estimates and proposals
\* Strong familiarity with industry standards a plus
*Education and Experience Requirements:*
\* A bachelor’s degree in applicable field is a plus, but not required
\* At least 6 years of related experience is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,678.
27 - $80,000.
