What you’ll do:
Manage commercial contracts across a wide range of transactions.
Corporate Counsel will provide legal advice across various legal needs for Silgan Containers and its affiliates, including but not limited to commercial contracts, employment, IP, regulatory and compliance, real estate, environmental,, and litigation matters.
Draft, evaluate, and interpret contracts and head contract negotiations.
Provide proactive and practical advice to practice managers, assist with general legal inquiries, prioritize pending legal requests, provide advice, and efficiently advance and resolve contract issues and claims.
Communicate internally and advise Silgan companies and teams, including corporate guidance related to contracts, applicable laws, and policies.
Ability to work well under pressure and effectively with company employees, executives, and outside counsel, including extensive work with colleagues in other locations.
What you’ll need to have:
A JD from an ABA-accredited nationally recognized law school and be a current member in good standing of at least one state bar organization.
4+ years of experience managing commercial contracts across a wide range of transactions.
Ability to work alone, exercise impeccable judgment, and fit into a fast-moving team.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Outstanding written and verbal communication and contract drafting skills with a fantastic eye for detail.
Strategic thinker with an ability to see the big picture.
Eager to learn and be taught, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work well under pressure and effectively with company employees, executives, and outside counsel, including extensive work with colleagues in other locations.
