Shield HealthCare is looking for a Government Affairs Generalist, for our Valencia, CA corporate office.
The primary function of this position is to provide administrative support to the Government Affairs Department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research and respond to carrier claim inquires, reviews and/or audits
Follows up on requests for information and works with payers to gather and provide information
Organizes and maintains file system and files records
Answers and screens telephone calls
Coordinates and maintains required licensure and provider enrollment files as assigned
Maintains up to date customer information in computer system
Print bulletins, articles and other information available on the internet
Conducts research, compiles data and creates and/or maintains reports
Coordinates and arranges meetings
Prepares outgoing mail, including e-mail and faxes
Miscellaneous projects as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
