We are looking for a Development Associate to provide a wide range of fundraising and donor relations support for a growing nonprofit organization that supports individuals with disabilities.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who will welcome the challenge of building diversified fundraising streams in collaboration with the leadership and Board of Directors.
Fundraising efforts will focus establishing and managing an annual giving program, a private foundation and corporate grants program, and a major donor engagement pipeline.
Emphasis will be on implementing donor communications strategies and maintaining an accurate and secure donor database.

Responsibilities:
Execute fundraising activities according to the annual development plan (including fundraising campaigns, events, and direct outreach programs).
Facilitate the donor engagement process (qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship) in collaboration with company Leadership and Board.
Manage and maintain donor databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Participate in the formulation of fundraising strategy and specific projects through meetings and discussions with company Leadership.
Identify and build relationships with potential donors.
Process donations and prepare acknowledgment letters and other correspondence.
Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including newsletters, emails, and social media posts.
Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports.
Conduct research on potential grant opportunities and secure new grant funding.
Conducts research on donor prospects, including individuals, corporations, and foundations identified as potential sources of private funds for specific projects.
Coordinate public relations efforts to promote the organization's mission and programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's (BA) degree in a related field or equivalent experience
At least three (3) years of experience in fund development/fundraising
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
The ability to analyze, organize, prioritize, and follow through on all duties and tasks as assigned
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with databases for donor management
Ability to write compelling grant proposals and reports
Understanding of public relations strategies for nonprofit organizations
Knowledge of nonprofit management principles and practices
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Korean a plus
