PathPoint, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities or disadvantages in living the life they choose, is seeking an Employment Specialist (Job Developers) in Northridge, CA.
This is a unique and rewarding sales-like position with a lucrative bonus plan that helps people with disabilities or disadvantages secure meaningful employment.
As a Job Developer, you will meet with employers and establish trusting, collaborative partnerships with the goal of securing competitive job placements.
This involves spending time in the community, prospecting and generating leads, and championing the supports offered by our employment programs.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends.
The work environment will be a flexible mix of being in the office and in the community.

What You'll Do: Promote PathPoint and the hiring of individuals who have disabilities.
Generate leads appropriate to people of varying interests and strengths supported through PathPoint's programs.
Assist individuals with pre-employment vocational counseling and job preparation activities, including resume preparation, cover letters, and job applications; contact local employers, arrange interviews, and accompany the individual to interviews.
Work with program staff to confirm job matching and level of intervention required.
Maintain good customer relations throughout the life of the employment collaboration.
Who We're Looking For: One year of job coaching, job development, mental health services, or related human services field is highly desired.
Candidates with education in social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, or related fields will also be considered; prior experience in sales is a plus! Ability to adapt approaches and strategies to motivate and support job seekers.
Dynamic and professional interpersonal communication skills.
Highly organized, priorities-focused, and results-driven.
