Trade Show 5% TOTAL TIME UTILIZATION 100 Position Requirements Education/Experience: Minimum four-year college degree (MBA in marketing a plus) Minimum ten years experience in the consumer product industry (especially toys and consumer electronics) Research & Product Development (R & D) experience Successful launching of new products Experience in media/commercial advertising and communication Skills/Knowledge/Ability: Owner Operator experience Entrepreneurial spirit Very creative and innovative Good people and management skills and the ability to coach Good organizational skills Ability to effectively use a computer P&L management experience Enthusiastic with good public relations experience Experience in developing effective advertising (especially TV) Experience in evaluating, implementing, and analyzing effective media plans Key Result Areas and Activities Strategic Product and Marketing Planning In conjunction with the Company Executive Committee, develop written Marketing Strategic Plans to drive consumer demand.
Create marketing plans geared toward consumer for each key product within the MGA portfolio, in line with strategy and targets and within budget.
Study market trends to identify emerging trends and opportunities on short and long-term basis.
Create equity and brands for the Company ‘s brands and products.
Analyze and set realistic profit goals and pricing for each product with SVP of Sales and CFO of the Company.
Position individual products and product lines at retail.
Licensing Partner with licensing as a way to create consumer demand and generate revenue.
Develop and maintain retail relationships for key categories for the brand that is the best in class for key categories and approach and licensing the brands.
Manage forecast and deliver P&L.
Make sure our licensed products are placed at retail and promoted.
Market Research Analysis Create, direct and perform market research and competitor analysis.
Establish on-going effective product research that keeps in touch with changing needs of the consumer, the marketplace and the retailer Evaluate POS data in terms of response to advertising/promotional support in conjunction with the sales force Communicate sales and product research regularly to the Sales, Product Development, Design and Marketing departments Provide creative input and support Web Development dept.
Advertising, PR, Media & Commercials Develop an effective advertising and promotion plan plus budget for each brand Work effectively with commercial production team and/or external agencies to develop effective target focused advertising vehicles Work with media buying team to effectively plan and purchase advertising media Ensure all writing, communications, events and plan are in line with the brand image of MGA Packaging and Product Development Ensure packaging stands out at retail and cuts through the clutter Brand consistency over all products including licensed products Work with PD department to develop new ideas for markets and to produce materials of visual impact and within brand guidelines Work with media buying team to effectively plan and purchase advertising media Product instruction: concise and easy to use and assemble for the consumer Trade Shows Manage and run trade shows effective with minimum budget Salary $240,000.
