*The Village is accredited by the International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its Adoptions, Foster Care, Mental Health, Wraparound, and Drop-In Center services.
We deliver evidenced-based behavioral health services to children, youth and adults, and has long been at the forefront of culturally sensitive foster care and adoption services.
* We are looking for a Grants Manager to join our Team! The position will be responsible for providing grant-funded project management expertise to support The Village Family Services grant funded programs and services to ensure all Program/Project milestones and deliverables are met, and that tasks are well executed and managed.
Responsibilities include partnering with the program, development and finance teams to create the grant plan, coordinating and tracking of critical activities.
Position will also be responsible for driving the grant timelines to keep the funding project and purpose on schedule.
Additional responsibilities, as highlighted in more detail below, also include planning, facilitating, and following-up with team members; anticipating and managing potential grant funded program issues; understanding the grant scope, schedule and resources for the program; utilization of project management tools to facilitate communication within the team, across the organization, and with external collaborators.
*Requirements & Qualifications:* * Minimum of a BA/BS is required or equivalent years of experience * 3+ years of relevant work experience * Grant experience required * Development/Fundraising and project management experience is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of the county, state and federal funding and grant system is highly desirable.
* Proactive mindset with strong formal and informal leadership, facilitation, and teamwork.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional organizational capability.
* Ability to drive grant program plans, objectives and timelines (across multiple functional areas) is essential.
* Proven success in goal setting, prioritization and time management is required.
* Experience working with external partners is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently in decision-making and resolution of program obstacles and conflicts.
* Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
* Strategic planning skills to align grants with organizational goals *Duties & Responsibilities:* * Manages grant funding projects as assigned * Manages a team of two external grant writers * Works with the development, program, HR and finance teams to develop a detailed project plan.
* Interfaces internally by acting as a facilitator of cross functional teams (i.
e.
Development Department, Program Directors, Finance, QI, Human Resources, etc) in planning and executing grant objectives.
* Creates and drives timelines to keep grants and objectives on schedule.
* Prepares timelines identifying all significant activities, measurements/outcomes, resources needed and milestones.
* Produces regular status reports.
* Facilitates highly effective team building and communication.
* Helps facilitate meetings and keeps them on track.
* Provides meeting minutes and drives follow up on Action Items.
* Work towards funding opportunity renewals and relationship growth, performance will be measured on ability to renew opportunities * Some program specific funding opportunity prospecting when needed * Reviews and proposes revised work plans to accommodate changes in technical, marketing, or business objectives.
* Creates and maintains easily accessible, high level grant documents in electronic format.
* Identifies, develops and/or maintains an appropriate electronic platform (SharePoint, Shared Folders, etc.
) for reporting/archiving/documentation of relevant program information, records, etc.
* Prepares information with appropriate input from program team members for internal as well as external partner review.
* Interfaces externally with collaborators, vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure communication and deliverables in accordance with planned program objectives.
*Physical Activity* * Reaching, Standing, Typing, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motion * Sedentary work.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
* The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
