Communications, Culture and Experience Specialist

Sound exciting? We think so too! The Internal Communications Specialist should be a writer, project manager, critical/creative thinker, innovative storyteller, Intuitive, and a communication authority.
You will be collaborative, passionate, high energy, organized, articulate, and able to distill messages with a strategic mindset.
You will be an expert in multi-channel communications with a background in digital platforms (intranet).
You will develop employer branding content for our social channels and blog.
You will drive Associate engagement through effective communications to the Guitar Center Company family of brands (Guitar Center, Music & Arts, AVDG, GC Pro, Musicians Friend, and Woodwind and Brasswind).
This will be done through maintaining a digital communications platform, including maintaining an editorial calendar, writing stories, writing and distributing company-wide communications, and providing event support for Company-wide events, such as Town Halls and Leadership Meetings.
You will support our culture with event coordinating and think of new ways we can engage our Associates in regular activities from Halloween, to Movember, to Concert T-shirt day.
Responsibilities/Duties: In collaboration with subject matter experts across the Company, identify, write, edit, publish, and deliver impactful communications to our Associates, social channels, and blog.
Drive employee engagement, inform Associates, and reinforce Company Core Values and vision.
Monitor and measure the impact of Associate communication campaigns.
Make recommendations as needed to ensure communication goals are achieved.
Develop and communicate quantitative and qualitative metrics evaluating the effectiveness of content.
Support Company events To join our band, you'll need the following experience: Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field is required (OR 5 years of directly relevant experience) A minimum of 3-5 years of directly relevant work experience (in addition to a degree or years of previous experience) Collaborative, proactive, flexible, can-do attitude.
Strong project and program management skills, able to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Experience in navigating and building digital communication platforms (O365 Platform experience a bonus) A demonstrated passion for the audience experience.

Pay Rate: $70,140- $80,200 / annually depending on background and experience.
