Their primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient processing of mortgage loan applications from start to finish.
*Responsibilities:* Application Review: Review and analyze mortgage loan applications submitted by borrowers, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is complete and accurate.
Documentation Verification: Verify the authenticity and accuracy of borrower-provided documents, such as income statements, tax returns, bank statements, employment verification, credit reports, and property appraisals.
Communication: Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other relevant parties to gather missing information, request additional documents, and provide updates on the loan application status.
Loan File Preparation: Organize and compile all required documents and information into a comprehensive loan file for underwriting and final approval.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local lending regulations and guidelines.
Underwriting Support: Collaborate with underwriters to address any issues or concerns that arise during the underwriting process, providing additional documentation or clarification as required.
Timeliness and Accuracy: Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in loan processing tasks, while adhering to established timelines and service level agreements.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any discrepancies, errors, or issues in loan files, working closely with internal teams, borrowers, and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
Loan Closing: Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, and other parties involved in the loan closing process to facilitate a smooth and efficient closing for borrowers.
*Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
* Proven experience as a mortgage loan processor * *MUST HAVE experience with Conventional, FHA, Non-QM and Rental DSCR Loans.
* * In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
* Familiarity with loan origination software and related tools.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including MS Office applications.
