This storied bass has had many modified adventures but it's time to bid adieu.
Need to clear space for a major purchase and sad to see this go, but also glad to see someone enjoy it, too.
This beast of a Fender Precision style is well, a beast.
Pure rock and roll machine that is incredibly muscular, by far the hottest and loudest bass I own, including my active Sadowsky and Zon.
Obviously has that Billy Sheehan thing but I was really envisioning a Bruce Thomas vibe when it was assembled (quite possibly my favorite rock bassist who dons the P bass).
Yeah, it's not fiesta, but it's a sibling!
Specs:
- MJT alder body with relic'd nitro finish.
Some of it my own.
- Allparts neck with 1-5/8" nut.
Round profile, meaty without being achy.
I have small hands and it's perfect for me.
Finish is sanded down to a satin smooth finish but not bare wood, so it still has its stability.
Fast and playable with a lot of punch and weight to the notes.
- Indian rosewood neck, dark, with medium jumbo frets.
No fret wear.
Had a professional fret-dress and setup.
Looks like a bone nut to me, might be Delrin.
- Fender MIM tuners, new.
Also drilled for Hipshot ultralight 1/2" if desired.
- Dimarzio Relentless Middle P pickup.
Seriously, this thing is punchy and loud and that chrome finish with the nitro blue is chef's kiss.
- Solderless harness for easy pickup swapping.
- Vintage threaded bridged with nice patina, same for the flattop knurled knobs.
Dunlop dual design strap buttons.
- Study Roadrunner gig bag.
- 8 lbs 8.
5 oz (8.
53 lbs)
Not interested in trades, I just need to finance a major purchase.
Cash, please.
