Stirling Behavioral Health Institute has immediate openings for a licensed psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, MFT associate, or associate social worker in the Van Nuys area.
We are in special need of those who are bilingual Spanish.
Experience or desire to work with the child and transitional age youth populations is desired.
New Masters-level graduates are encouraged to apply.
Stirling is a small, school-based agency contracted with the Los Angeles County Dept.
of Mental Health (DMH) to provide outpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, teens, and their adult caregivers in the central and west areas of the San Fernando Valley.
Services are provided in schools, via telehealth, and in Stirling's Van Nuys office.
Most of our clients come from LAUSD schools we contract with to provide outpatient mental health services.
Clinicians provide intake assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical interventions, collaterals, discharges, case management (when needed), crisis management, and providing individual and family therapy.
(No Wrap or FSP service!)
While no experience is required (we will train), preferred applicants will have experience with DMH policies, procedures, and standards.
Applicants certified or are in the process of becoming certified in one or more of the following Evidence Based Practices are also desired: CPP, MAP, Trauma Focused CBT, Individual CBT, and Seeking Safety.
Applicant should live within a reasonable commute time to Van Nuys, CA.
Responsibilities
Perform intake assessments
Provide mental health therapy for children, adolescents, teens, and families
Create individualized treatment plans for each client
Use evidence-based treatment methods, when appropriate, to facilitate individual treatments
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan
Adhere to all facility, government, and BBS licensing standards
Qualifications
Master or Doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or similar field
Current and unrestricted BBS marriage and family therapy, clinical social worker, or psychologist license required
Must be bilingual Spanish speaking
Previous experience as a mental health therapist in a DMH-contracted agency preferred but not required
Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certified
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized
For associates of any kind the salary range is from $60,000 - $69,000.
For licensed clinicians, the salary range is $70,000 - $75,000.
