As a key member of a small and versatile team, the Breast Patient Service Representative's primary function is to help assist patients with completing their assessments and forms as well as helping with the specimen collection as needed.
They will also be responsible for promotion and education of various breast health offerings to patients and providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review and implement our risk assessment tool for breast imaging patients
Entering, maintaining and developing statistical information and reports
Handles all specimen collection samples
Assists with the tracking and monitoring of BI-RADS 4,5,6 as needed
Scheduling of patient procedures and exams
Implements and reviews policies and procedures related to the breast navigation program
Notify the patient's physician or provider with positive biopsy results as needed
Handle delicate situations in a supportive and empathetic manner
Attend and participate in various meetings and trainings as required

Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
Self-motivated and proven ability to work both independently or effectively as a team with a variety of healthcare specialists
Strong organizational skills and ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision and effectively establish work priorities
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to concentrate in multiple and varied tasks

Physical Demands
This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, constant talking, and hearing.
Visual acuity to read computer screens and written materials.
Also, must be able to lift over 50 pounds, occasionally.
All employees are to assist and participate as members of a lift assistance team (for special accommodation patients or any patient requiring assistance onto a table or equipment placement) to initiate or complete an exam or procedure.
Working Environment
Representatives work in a medical office setting with low to moderate noise level.
Pay Range: $19.
