Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) under direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse will provide nursing care in accordance with guidelines and regulations to ensure the care and dignity needs of the patients are met.
This includes, but is not limited to: 1.
Admitting, transferring, and discharging patients in accordance with policy and procedure.
2.
Conducting daily resident rounds to observe the patient’s physical and emotional status.
3.
Preparing/administering medications as ordered by the physician and within the legal scope of practice.
4.
Completing, maintaining, and submitting accurate clinical notes regarding patient's condition and care given.
Records pain/symptom management changes/outcomes as appropriate.
5.
Reviewing daily patient reports and assignments with nursing assistants upon the beginning of assigned shift.
Requirements: 1.
LVN/LPN with current licensure to practice in the state.
2.
Comprehensive knowledge of applicable nursing principles and practices to ensure the quality of care standards for patients.

Ability to provide quality patient care in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
3.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
