Aftermarket Scheduler Coordinator
Position Summary:
Responsible for effectively planning for repair parts to support Aftermarket operations.
Responsible for planning jobs for Aftermarket in a fast-paced and lean environment.
Activities will include (but are not limited to) planning, rotable part planning and oversight, as well as working with the Aftermarket team to quickly resolve shortages.
The position will be responsible for driving less shortages, high OTD, and low inventory.
The qualified candidate will also be required to professionally and effectively integrate with internal process customers and the Aftermarket Team at all levels to provide appropriate levels of support, resolve issues, and ensure achievement of company goals and objectives toward supporting Aftermarket operations.
Responsibilities: Analyze open orders to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to customer orders.
Analyzes repair specifications and capacity data to determine repair processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
Plans and schedules workflow and operation according to repair sequences and turn-around times.
Confers with supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Prepares repair open order status reports and updates daily metrics.
Prepares paperwork for certification/verification.
Transports units to shipping.
Minimum Requirements: Experience: 2 years’ experience in aerospace scheduling and meeting customer commitments.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing strongly preferred.
Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of repairs, planning and materials control functions.
Skills: Strong in using scheduling and capacity planning tools, experience with Oracle (preferred).
Significant experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered.
As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/repair environment.
Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, and shop coats.
Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Requires lifting 25 lbs.
