*Job Description:*
As a HEDIS Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in our HEDIS department, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize medication-related quality measures.
This unique position involves outreach to members, specialists, and primary care providers, without any billing, dispensing, or medication distribution responsibilities.
Your focus will be on reviewing health plans, coordinating patient care, and assisting members with their medication needs.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Collaborate with the HEDIS department to support and enhance various initiatives, including medication reconciliation, medication adherence, and health education policies.
* Assist in improving patient care for individuals with chronic diseases/conditions by conducting member outreach, addressing barriers, coordinating care with providers, and maintaining thorough and organized records.
* Collaborate with Clinical Pharmacists, Project Managers, and other team members to identify and reach out to high-priority patients.
* Review medical records to ensure compliance with HEDIS standards and input relevant information into our internal database.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
* Uphold our company's values, goals, and policies while striving for excellence in all aspects of your role.
*Requirements:*
* Current CA Pharmacy Technician license
* Bilingual in Spanish required
* Minimum of one (1) year of pharmacy experience, preferably in a managed healthcare environment
* Familiarity with PBM industry, formulary management, pharmacy claims, and managed care principles (preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Proficient in common pharmacy electronic databases and typing (>40 WPM)
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and adapt to change
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
