```Job Overview```
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team.
As a Dentist, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and treat various dental conditions and help patients maintain optimal oral health.
```Duties```
- Perform routine dental examinations, including X-rays, to assess the condition of patients' teeth and gums
- Diagnose oral diseases or abnormalities and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Administer anesthetics to patients prior to dental procedures
- Fill cavities, repair cracked or fractured teeth, and perform extractions as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide preventive dental care
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with medical documentation standards
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
```Qualifications```
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in medical terminology, including dental-specific terminology
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.
g.
, Epic) for medical documentation purposes
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental office setting
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing purposes is a plus
