A rapidly growing ISO accredited laboratory in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and energetic individual to join our professional laboratory staff.

Position: The lab assistant/technician will primarily be responsible for the custody and handling of cannabis samples and following established laboratory procedures.
Duties include:
· Homogenizing cannabis samples
· Preparing cannabis samples for a variety of assays.
· Maintaining a safe, clean, and aseptic work area.
· Strictly following all safety procedures and documents.
· Completing documentation to ensure traceability.

Qualifications and skills:
· Minimum: High school diploma and interest in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university plus at least 3 years of full-time practical experience
*· Preferred:*
o AA degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences
o A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university
o A bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university
o A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university
· Ability to stand for long periods
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook – computer literate and savvy
· Ability to provide support and training for others in a team environment
· Ability to adapt well to a changing work environment.
