Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and reactions to medications
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of CA
- Previous experience in surgery or related field is preferred (PACU, PreOp)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with paper records (EMR coming!)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
