Position: Clinical Supervisor: LMFT, LCSW, LPCC | Malibu Recovery Centers - Outpatient Studio City, CA | Full-Time M-F 8:30am-5pm Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor performs professional work by providing clinical therapeutic services to an adult population composed of substance-abusing, SMI, dual-diagnosed and/or referred persons.
Responsible for screening, assessments, treatment planning, caseload management, group/individual counseling, crisis management, and coordination of care.
The Clinical Supervisor will supervise all associate therapists to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures set forth by the State of California Department of Health Care Services and provide clinical supervision per BBS guidelines for ACSW, APCC, and AMFT hours for licensure or similar and performs related administrative duties as required.
Job Duties: Clinical Supervisor * Support the Clinical Director with clinical duties and requirements including, but not limited to, HR duties, clinical, and administrative supervision to clinical team members.
* Manage clinical caseload assignments and other similar case assignment duties.
* Manage clinical group schedule and patient group assignments.
* Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical treatment to clients as scheduled in psycho-educational groups.
* Provide individual and family therapy.
* Meet one on one with patients to provide guidance on treatment goals and assist with aftercare planning.
* Recognize, respond to, and assist in psychiatric crisis situations and provide the intervention necessary.
* Participate in clinical staff meetings, trainings, and other activities as required.
* Actively participate as a positive member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
* Complete treatment plan for each client in caseload and regularly update based on client progress.
* Complete clinical assessments and documentation as necessary, including but not limited to, treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, concurrent reviews, discharge plans, etc.
* Responsible for scheduling individual appointments as directed by supervisor.
* Minimal supervision regarding use of time.
* Complete accurate clinical documentation same day as date of service.
* Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and needed.
* Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities, if applicable.
* Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
* Stay current with updated research and best practices.
* Adheres to facility polices & procedures, Joint Commission Standards, & DCFS Rules & Regulations.
* Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
* Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
* Provides in-service training as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Knowledge of behavioral health services delivery systems policies and procedures.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
* Ability to work under pressure and address events/crises which may develop unexpectedly.
* Strong computer skills required, experience with electronic medical records preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals.
* Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
* Strong assessment skills.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Must be able to pass a background check.
* Minimum 1 2 years recovery from drugs and/or alcohol.
* Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute.
* Possession of, or the ability to obtain the following: * CPR and First Aid certifications * Evidence of freedom from infectious pulmonary tuberculosis Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: * Licensure to practice clinical discipline in the appropriate state, as applicable, required in Social Work, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapy * Valid CA Licensure as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC required * CADC desirable * Applicants in pursuit of licensure may also be considered for the position.
