Responsibilities
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company military or commercial programs of major programs.
Participates in the negotiation of financial contract terms and conditions and contract changes.
Facilitates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, program budgets.
Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program reviews with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Assists in conveying design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and facilitates risk mitigation plans, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Manages the program work scope of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
Essential Functions of the Job:
• Review proposal and contract(s) for terms and conditions
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
Monitor and updates Resource Capacity Tool as appropriate.
• Attends daily status meetings in engineering and production.
• Creates and executes program plans and work-breakdown structures (WBS) and revises plan as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• PM manages day-to-day operational aspects of a program and scope to include daily status meetings with engineering and production.
• Effectively applies stage gate methodology and enforces project standards.
• Minimizes exposure to risk on the program.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Prepares and presents non-disclosure agreements (NDA) & consultant contracts to management for review and approval.
• Prepares Monthly Program Dashboards for reporting to Executive Management
• Sets and manages client expectations.
• Communicates effectively with customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen relationships.
• Builds a knowledge base of the customers business, organization, and objectives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• 5 years of experience with Bachelors degree from an accredited university or 8+ years of equivalent related experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and office products (including MS Project)
• Abe to work within a fast paced, changing, high energy environment
• Prior aerospace experience preferred
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to self-start and understand the big picture as well as technical, budget and schedule issues at the detail level
• Familiarity with general government contractual requirements.
• Experienced with an ISO 9001 environment.
• Ability to collaborate across the enterprise for insertion of common products and innovation
• Ability to identify and assess Technical, Cost and Schedule risk
• Proven leadership with technology development and complex technical issue resolution
Compensation: $92,200 - $138,400
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
