Rally Camps After Care Director
Rally Camps is now hiring for an After Care Director for our summer youth camps in the Sherman Oaks and Calabasas areas.
Rally Camps feature five action-packed days of sports, games, competitions, and special events for boys and girls ages 4-14 of all skill levels.
Each camp session is a week long (Monday-Friday) and each day features a personal character theme, teaching campers lessons on the fields and courts that they can use off the playing field to become more outstanding young men and women.
Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe camp environment for all staff, campers, and parents
Oversee daily programming, ensuring that our After Care program is an enhancement, rather than an afterthought, of our overall camp programming.
Manage a team of 3-5 aftercare counselors, ensuring adherence to the Rally standards and expectations
Administer first-aid properly as needed to campers and staff
Manage medications for campers with life-threatening allergies and other medical needs (ex.
EpiPens) and ensure that each camp coach is aware of their campers who require extra attention
Communicate to the Site Director, Assistant Site Director, parents, and headquarters regarding injuries, illnesses, and incidents that occur at camp
Maintain detailed health records of campers
Work proactively with all camp staff to ensure that a preemptive approach is taken, in order to minimize injury and risk
Work with coaches and other staff members to help resolve camper conflicts and to create a positive and friendly environment for everyone involved with the camp
Assist with the production and organization of essential camp reports including attendance, employee timekeeping, and customer service-related records
Qualifications:
Make an eight or nine week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately 4.
50 hours per day
Be available between the hours of 1:00PM-5:30PM week days
CPR/AED and First-Aid certified (Rally reimburses for the cost of certifications)
Interested in gaining unique experience in the healthcare field in a leadership role
Able to pass a comprehensive background screening
Prepared to travel to our site in Calabasas or Sherman Oaks with reliable transportation of your own

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is $22.
