Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regional Manager for Multifamily Buildings to oversee a portfolio of properties within a designated region.
As the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the assisting in the overall performance, profitability, and operational efficiency of the multifamily buildings under your supervision.
Your primary focus will be on maintaining high occupancy rates, recruitment, maximizing revenue, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Property Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of multifamily buildings, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Financial Performance: Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue generation, minimize expenses, and achieve financial goals for the properties.
Occupancy and Leasing: Work closely with the leasing team to maintain high occupancy rates by developing effective marketing and leasing strategies, conducting market research, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of lease agreements.
Tenant Relations: Foster positive tenant relationships by promptly addressing concerns, resolving disputes, and ensuring exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
Team Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate on-site property management staff, including property managers, leasing agents, and other support staff.
Qualifications
Preferred but not mandatory: bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field (OR equivalent experience).
Proven experience in property management, preferably with a focus on multifamily buildings.
Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and local market dynamics.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.
Knowledge of fair housing laws, lease agreements, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in property management softwares, preferably Rent Manager and MS Office suite.
Willingness to travel within the designated region as required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
Location
The position will be based out of our regional office in the Van Nuys area.
The position requires travel to a variety of multi-family apartments located within 20 miles of the office.
