The Credit Manager will be responsible for supporting the company’s customer credit lines according to Dole Packaged Food’s Credit Policies and Procedures.
The Credit Manager will have a portfolio of customers and the responsibility to add new customers, set appropriate credit lines, release orders and support the collection of accounts receivables.
The Credit Manager should have a good understanding of the UCC and Bankruptcy Codes.
The Credit Manager will take an active role in assisting the Deduction Management Specialists with identifying and clearing deductions taken against the company.
This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office.
Responsibilities:
Manage the credit lines for a portfolio of customers in compliance with the Dole Packaged Food’s Credit Policy and Procedures.
Interpret financial statements to determine customer’s financial strength and recommend appropriate credit line.
Exercise prudence and sound judgment when releasing sales orders to protect company’s accounts receivable exposure.
Ensure compliance with UCC/PACA and related bankruptcy codes.
Maintain a positive team approach with supporting departments, such as sales, customer operations, and accounting.
Recommend and arrange for forced collections, and support legal department with bankruptcy claims, as needed.
Work with Credit Specialist on collection issues.
Work with Brokers and Sales Managers on collection issues.
Work with Sales Managers on credit line recommendations.
Supervises Deductions Management Specialist/Credit Specialist to ensure short pay standards are being achieved.
Provides analysis and reporting on short pay activity and trends.

Qualifications:
5+ years of credit management experience
Strong computer skills including: Word/Excel/SAP
Strong financial analysis skills
Supervisory experience
Food industry experience a plus

Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree required
If no Bachelor’s degree, must have 8-10+ years of credit management experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.
Travel Requirements:
Little to no travel required

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:
Hiring Pay Scale: $95,000 to $110,000
