Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Controller, you will have the opportunity to work with different members of the accounting, financial planning and investor relations teams.
You will be responsible for the financial statement preparation, monthly consolidation, SEC filing review process and technical accounting for a publicly traded company.

Responsibilities Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Lead and develop a team of 3.
Monthly consolidation of Company financial statements, analytical review of consolidated results and preparation of the monthly financial reporting packages.
Gather requirements, preparation and creation of financial reports.
Partner with subsidiaries to ensure accurate financial statements.
Prepares, reviews and maintains supporting documentation for SEC filings as well as assists with drafting documents.
Oversee the review and tie out of the Company’s SEC filings and public documents, such as 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, Proxy, CSR Report, etc.
Configure, maintenance and enhancement of the Company’s consolidation and ERP systems.
Maintain rules and mapping of data integration into the general ledger.
Apply technical accounting transactions including Equity, Lease Accounting, Hedging and other corporate accounting transactions.
Evaluate emerging accounting pronouncements and interpretations to determine the impact to the company.
Implements new accounting standards as applicable.
Maintain effective internal controls to ensure transactions follow Company policies and are properly reflected on the financial statements.
Provides client assistance to internal and external auditors, including analysis and schedule preparation for SOX and substantive audit.
Completes ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.
Work cross-functionally with departments throughout the company.
Qualifications What we require: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA required.
15+ years of general accounting experience within a large multi-concept public company, including sound knowledge of GAAP and internal/external audit experience.
Financial reporting and consolidation experience.
Big 4 public accounting or public company experience.
Multiple years of experience, supervising, developing, and mentoring staff at all levels.
Proven ability to collaborate with other departments, building relationships and gaining commitment and resources for finance-led initiatives.
Highly organized with the ability to lead a large organization through change while maintaining day-to-day operations.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.
e.
Excel - v/h lookup, sumif, pivot tables) and ERP applications.
Proven problem-solving abilities and the ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities and consistently achieve deadlines Extensive experience with consolidation software, ERP and reporting systems.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.
e.
Excel - v/h lookup, sumif, pivot tables) and ERP applications.
What we prefer: Big 4 public accounting or publicly traded company experience.
Background in the restaurant industry or multi-unit retail strongly preferred.
