The Data & Analytics team designs, develops, and supports the infrastructure to collect, analyze, and transform large volumes of business-data into enterprise reporting and analytic solutions.
This position requires an experienced manager with good business acumen and strong technical and real-world Project Management, Data Warehouse, Reporting, and Business Intelligence experience to support our growing Data Analytics Team initiatives.
This position is managerial, technical and analytical in nature and calls for a fast-learner with a history of technical and business experience.
This position is responsible for leading projects utilizing a team of database engineers charged with creating data warehouse and reporting/analytics solutions.
This role will have the ability to communicate information to a wide audience, including technical and non-technical personnel, and ensure delivery of high quality, consistent and accurate data, analytics and reports.
Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a high level of competence, professionalism, and systems expertise while working through Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Design and develop solutions within requirements of business scope, data quality, and timeliness of delivery.
Prepare detailed estimates, technical design, development and implementation plans to ensure that solutions are delivered within timeline and costs.
Manage small team of data/database engineers, providing leadership, coaching, counseling, and employee reviews Define, document and communicate project requirements and related employee tasks/expectations Analyzes large data sets and extract patterns that lead to greater customer insight, optimized performance, enhanced engagement, improved retention, increased revenue and decreased cost.
Works with executives and leadership teams to formulate hypotheses and design research aimed at improving key performance indicators.
Lead the data automation and report automation efforts Work with internal and external business partners and data providers to maintain integrity, quality and security of enterprise, financial and operational data Develop processes and systems that standardize and automate reporting.
Oversee performance analysis & turning of existing reports/analytics as well as new business analytic/report requests.
Oversee the development of standardized templates and processes for validating analytics and reports prior to distribution.
Devise methods and procedures for collecting, preparing and validating data for use within reporting analytics.
Scope (Required) Staff supervision and development — Yes Decision making- Creates policy and resolves problems, Provide data for decision support Travel – <5% Location— Remote Flex Designation – Remote, anywhere Requirements Education (Required-Preferred) Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 8 years additional work experience.
Masters of Science/Business or Advanced Certifications preferred.
Skills (Required) Strong knowledge of distributed computing, data warehouse, data mining, business analytics and software development.
Former cloud experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of data structures, data mapping, management, replication and distributed/relational databases.
Recent hands-on experience of data architecture, design, tools, and techniques.
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Experience to tracking projects and goals to successful completion (with visible metrics).
Ability to stay abreast of significant technological developments that may impact the business.
Experience in leading and mentoring a team and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of technical solutions.
Perform a variety of complicated tasks while leading/directing the work of others Understanding and experience with project management methodologies is preferred.
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
Excellent communication skills (oral & written), with ability to communicate effectively across the organization Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
An analytical thinker that excels at analyzing and understanding data to answer questions.
Equipped to handle responsibility, collaborate and excel in a fast-paced, small team environment.
Track record of successful delivery at the individual and team levels.
Highly self-motivated and directed.

Experience (Required) 5+ years of progressive responsibility for data management, data warehouse and/or reporting teams.
Previous retail experience preferred.
5+ years database experience in the use of reporting, analytical and statistical applications as well as data access tools and data integration methods Leadership experience – proven track record of leading/managing developing staff to meet the organizational needs and growth.
5+ years experience tools such as SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, Teradata OR cloud tools such as Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Project management experience – schedule management, resource management, issue management, etc.
5+ years experience working with very large data sets and business-level analysis.
5+ years database experience in the use of reporting, analytical and statistical applications as well as data access tools and data integration methods Experience in establishing project-level and/or organizational-level reporting solutions, processes, standards, etc.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $138,000 - 207,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience.
This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, as well as a deferred compensation plan.
Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year, (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays and paid holidays).
Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
