Job Summary:
The CT Supervisor will oversee both CT and X-Ray services, coordinating activities in all clinical areas in Diagnostic Imaging to include Nuc Med and MRI’s.
The CT Supervisor has primary responsibilities and oversight of CT operations, this includes ensuring compliance with CT ACR Accreditation, CDPH Title 17and TJC Standards.
The CT Supervisor will administer CT schedule, evaluate CT Tech’s ongoing performance and work collaboratively with the Radiology Supervisor to optimize clinical operations.
CT Supervisor and Radiology Supervisor will have shared governance overseeing all of Radiology operations including transporters and CT Tech’s
Licensure and Certification:
Current CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) and Fluoroscopy Certification.
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and advanced CT certification required.
Current BLS provider card
Venipuncture Certification in accordance with CDPH requirements
Education:
Graduate of an JCERT approved school of Radiologic Technology
Experience:
Three (3) years hospital experience in acute care setting as a CT and Radiologic Technologist with minimum one (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Able to perform all CT’s including CT guided procedures.
Able to work with Radiologists in developing and optimizing dose saving CT protocols.
Able to perform general x-ray exams and fluoroscopy procedures.
Strong v erbal and written communication skills.
Effective two way communication skills (listening and speaking); strong interpersonal skills with staff, physicians, patients and their significant others.
Strong leadership and critical reasoning skills in clinical decision-making, planning and organizing, initiative and ingenuity, creativity, independent decision-making, problem solving, and ability to interpret data.
Ability to work effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams toward achieving a common goal in accordance with established timelines.
Physical Demands – Clerical/Administrative Patient Care:
Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change.
Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing.
Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Continuous use of near vision, hearing and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
