The role of the Program Director will involve clinical oversight of our dual-diagnosis residential program.

We are seeking an energetic and motivated licensed mental health professional for this role in Woodland Hills.
Your role will involve a variety of tasks including: helping clinicians build their professional identity through in vivo coaching and live supervision; ensuring our program is providing ethical and meaningful treatment aimed at symptom reduction; and creating an affirming and welcoming environment for staff, clients and families alike.
At Destinations, we value education and offer a variety of training opportunities for our clinical staff each year including DBT, Attachment Based Family Therapy, and Trauma for Adolescents.
Additional tasks may include administrative tasks, collaborating with a variety of departments, conducting intake assessments, working closely with admissions and utilization review department in coordinating appropriate intakes and discharges.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* * Ensure ethical and evidence-based groups, individual and family therapy occur at each facility.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet the changing needs of residents * Oversee and manage all aspects of the program, ensuring the highest quality of care and services for residents * Ensures proper documentation for all clients are being completed, by clinical staff in a timely manner.
* Approve and monitor all clinical documentation to ensure they’re in line with agency and program guidelines and policies.
* Create and maintain a positive and affirming work environment.
* Create clear expectations of all team members and work to maintain accountability within the clinical department.
* Work closely with Clinical Director, Assistant Regional Director, and HR on all performance and programmatic improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including resident rights and safety protocols * Collaborate with families and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to resident care * Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and program operations * Manage program budgets and financial resources effectively allocated for program design and structure * Assists therapists in the coordination and successful completion of EMR records management, provides QA for documentation and coordinates weekly treatment team meetings overseeing and approving all discharges recommendations from treatment.
* Coordinates and/or provides effective clinical supervision for all clinical staff in accordance with all applicable Board of Psychology, BBS, NASW standards.
* Establishes and maintains an on-going relationship with other agencies, health care facilities, placement providers and other resources necessary to affect the continuum of care for clients returning to the community.
* Maintains, reviews and makes revision recommendations to the policy and procedures of the clinical services department.
* Ensures that the clinical and recovery team effectively interacts and communicates with other clinical and non- clinical departments.
* Represents Destinations on various agency committees, including; UR, Peer Review and Quality Assurance, Safety Committee and Joint Commissions.
* Oversees tracking of level of care authorizations and discharges, cycle dates, assessments and other required documentation and conduct clinical chart audits regularly to ensure compliance.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* Ability to demonstrate extensive clinical skills and competency teen mental health and substance use treatment * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team * Creativity in program design and structure * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff * Financial acumen for budgeting and managing program resources effectively * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail *Education* Master's degree Marriage & Family Therapy or Clinical Social Work from an accredited college or university *Experience* Two (2) years direct service experience with adolescents and families who struggle with mental health and substance use.
Five (5) years direct service experience managing/supervising in any mental health facility.
At least two (2) years post licensure experience in a health care setting and ability to supervise unlicensed professional staff *License or Certification* CA Licensed PsyD, PhD, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.
