In this role, the successful candidate will work with all departments to ensure guest satisfaction and exceed expectations.
Ideal candidate will promote excellent personal rapport with guests and housekeeping employees.
This positions supports the Executive Housekeeper and Rooms Division Manager to ensure monthly supplies and inventories are conducted and up to date.
Assist in Inspecting rooms and public areas, work closely with Engineering & Front Desk.
Manage the daily operations in housekeeping.
Ensure all guest rooms are to the standard of Hotel Angeleno.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities.
* Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.
Identify situations which compromise the department’s standards and delegate these tasks.
* Inspect all public areas, including pool area, offices, lobby and service areas after being cleaned by Housemen/attendant.
Ensure that the cleanliness and condition of each area meets the standards of Hotel Angeleno.
* Work with Engineering department on PM and deep cleaning of rooms.
* Monitor and handle guest complaints by following procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Provide feedback on staff performance to the Executive Housekeeper & Rooms Division Manager.
Report disciplinary problems to Director and participate in the counseling of employees.
* Check and update the room’s status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with the departmental standards.
* Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hotel Angeleno Standards and Procedures
* Maintain proper inventory levels of all required supplies and order them through I Buyer Efficient as needed.
* Continuously work with Supervisor & room attendants to monitor cleaning/standards/techniques and re-train as needed.
* Orient all new employees utilizing company handbooks and support materials.
* Leads training and recognition for employees at all levels and maintains a team-oriented environment.
* Supervise and assist other departments in the division when needed.
* Under the Executive Housekeeper’s leadership, is responsible for the department training program, weekly and monthly training topics.
* Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.

* Previous experience in a housekeeping line staff role
* Previous housekeeping management or supervisory experience
* Previous Rooms Division or other Hospitality management experience
* Understand the Financial statements and Budget.
* Ability to motivate assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team.
* Knows how to prioritize and organize work assignments, delegate work.
* Focus on details whether it is cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and resort.
* Strong Office and Computer skills including basic Excel, Advanced Word, and Outlook ability.
