Qualifications
BS degree, Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical or other Engineering degree or equivalent work experience of at least 10 years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Coatings, sealants/adhesives or transparency manufacturing experience highly desirable.
Ability to travel up to 25%
Key Responsibilities
Support specific product and program development for Aerospace SBU working with S&T, Manufacturing, ASCs, Platform and Business leads on developing and scaling up products, improving existing products especially as related to manufacturability.
Lead strategic initiatives including safety (e.
g.
PSM), quality (e.
g.
support of AS9100 certification), and lean or manufacturing footprint optimization.
Analyze research & test data and proposed project specifications to determine feasibility of the projects and recommended pathways.
Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses, and actively leads/participates in design and manufacturing/fabrication of prototype products or systems.
Analyze and resolve design & manufacturing related issues and communicate directly with the required personnel for resolution if required.
Direct major capital projects and strategies, including development of scopes of work, bidding and execution of projects
Also responsible for overseeing process improvement, lean and EHS programs that optimize supply chain product quality as it relates to manufacturing processes, reliability of supply through sourcing analysis, cost and with concepts, designs, analysis, and development of mechanical or structural products, including parts and components as required.

Pay: $130,000.
