What you'll do:
The position of Compliance Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Compliance Manager of the Bank’s second line of defense regulatory Testing Program; helping ensure testing activities run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule; and aiding in leadership, training, and supervision over the execution of testing activities and reporting.
The Compliance Assistant Manager will also lead, coordinate, and execute independent regulatory testing as needed, from planning to reporting on regulatory compliance activities, and continuously adapt based on assignments.
What we are looking for:
Assist in the execution of the Compliance Testing Program standards.
Assist with the completion of quarterly reports to risk committee(s).
Assist with designing department process improvements implementing changes, and updating policies and procedures for the Compliance Testing Program.
With limited supervision, plan and execute compliance testing engagements as needed to assess the first-line business units’ compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
Through execution of testing, identify opportunities for improvement in the design and effectiveness of first-line business units’ regulatory compliance processes and controls, communicate results orally to first-line management, and issue written reports of results.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in law or business administration or a related field; or High School Diploma or GED with 7+ years’ equivalent experience in research of regulatory compliance administration, risk management, internal audit, internal controls, or other relevant experience.
Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations applicable to large financial institutions.
Subject matter expert of federal, and state banking laws and regulations, such as ECOA, HMDA, EFTA, TILA, Privacy, and Marketing Compliance, with the capability to research and analyze other regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated ability and success in interacting with senior leadership, including executive management.
Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills particularly regarding assessing and communicating the root cause of identified issues related to the probability and impact of regulatory control deficiencies.
Organize and manage time appropriately based on established timelines to meet department objectives.
Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation is preferred.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $109,436.
00 - $135,185.
00 for Westlake Village, CA.
Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
