Our client is a reputable non-profit that is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grants and Compliance Manager who manages the pre-and post-award processes for government grants and oversees contracts, including grant submission and administration policies, systems, and documentation to ensure compliance, develop and procure contracts with consultants, incorporate best practices, and ensure excellent controls.
This position will primarily focus on national, and federal grants and contracts related to those awards.
The proposal works closely with the finance, development, and program staff to ensure accurate, timely, efficient, and transparent processes in place for the parent lifecycle.
Responsibilites Identifies, evaluates, and suggests potential government funding opportunities in alignment with the mission and strategic objectives.
Works in close collaboration with the leadership team, program, and finance departments to spearhead the development and submission of government grant proposals.
Manages the progress of project deliverables in coordination with program staff and the leadership team, ensuring accurate programmatic reporting on grants and sub-awards.
Provides leadership and oversight on grant compliance requirements, establishing organizational practices and processes for documenting grant activities, including preparations for audits.
Proactively identifies and addresses issues to enhance grant data collection, reporting, and impact assessment.
Maintains information management systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organization-wide grants database.
Oversees the submission of pre- and post-award grants via government online portals/systems.
Prepares report templates for program staff and directors well in advance of deadlines.
Coordinates the preparation and submission of federal grant applications, ensuring compliance with requirements and communication with federal grants officials.
Develops and maintains grant agreements related to grant awards in collaboration with program staff.
Supports the data-gathering process and submits reports promptly.
Ensures accurate financial reporting and procedural compliance on grants and sub-awards in collaboration with finance and program/grant leads.
Reviews and approves grant award packets in consultation with senior staff.
Manages contracts and contractors related to grants in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Provides expertise on grant compliance and interpretation of regulations and policies, translating them into operational procedures.
Supports capacity building of managers and grant recipients in grant management and compliance.
Manages government online portals/systems accounts and login credentials, ensuring regular updates and documentation.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field.
Three to five years of experience in government grants administration, budgets, contracts, and/or compliance.
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices pertaining to non-profit governance, fundraising, grant management, and child welfare services.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements, identify compliance gaps, and develop practical solutions.
