We have an immediate opening in our Personal Injury and Civil Litigation Department for an *experienced* litigation paralegal.

This is not an entry level position!
The right candidate will have experience working with personal injury and experience as a paralegal.
*Job Responsibilities*
* Drafting legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, subpoenas, written discovery, notices
* Filing pleadings according to judicial procedures
* Client communications: e-mail, telecommunications, standard mail, overnight/express mail
* Communications with adjusters, doctors, medical providers, other attorneys, law enforcement, and the courts
* Calendaring/Tracking deadlines
* Scheduling hearings, depositions, etc.
* File & data maintenance, organization
* Collecting medical records
* Assisting with projects as assigned

*Skills Required*
* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers, clients, and attorneys (Spanish as second language preferred, but not required)
* Strong organizational & time management skills
* Proficient in Office365, Outlook, Word, Excel
* Experience with Westlaw & LexisNexis research preferred
*Position Requirements*
* Minimum of 1+ years paralegal experience.
* Punctual, reliable, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
* Working knowledge of the local court rules of counties throughout California, pleading and response deadlines, and discovery protocols.
*Required Education*
ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or a Paralegal by education and work experience as set forth by California Business and Profession Code, Section 6450(c)
Preference will be given to anyone who speaks a second language (Preferably Russian or Spanish)
