Homebound Meal Delivery Driver, Part Time ( Northwest Valley)

16 per hour + Mileage Pay.
* _*Opportunity for Regular Position and On Call Position.
*_ *General Position Overview:* The Meal Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for delivering meals to homebound seniors within the San Fernando Valley (Northridge, Chatsworth, Granada Hills, North Hills, Mission Hills, Porter Ranch areas).
*Main Responsibilities:* * Delivers meals daily to homebound seniors in an efficient manner and maintains confidentiality of client information.
* Efficient Meal Delivery.
* Monitors/evaluates and reports health and behavioral changes of participants to Nutrition Director.
* Responds to emergency situations.
* Accurate and complete Record-Keeping.
* Maintains sanitary conditions in regards to equipment and vehicle.
* Collects donations and submits to Director or coordinator.
* Attends monthly staff meeting and in-service training.
* Count meals to be ordered for the next day.
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, staff and the community.
* Does not contact or provide any other services to clients outside meal delivery and does not transport clients in their vehicles for any reason at any time.
Other job related duties.
*Qualifications:* High School graduate or equivalent.
Must have own car that is reliable.
Current California Driver’s License with five-year minimum good driving record.
Proof of current auto insurance.
Must be familiar with delivery route areas and service area.
Ability to carry 10lbs and climb stairs.
Empathy and sensitivity to needs of the elderly.
*Working conditions*: Working conditions are normal for a driver position.
