*SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Operate company trucks to deliver and pick up items, as required, to different addresses and through different routes.
* Meet strict deadlines and delivery schedules.
* Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver and pick up packages.
* Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
* Move materials/products off racks and package for shipment.
* Build crates to specific dimensions and package materials in boxes as needed.
* Complete regular maintenance checks on delivery trucks.
* Provide support to the warehouse and manufacturing department when deliveries are not scheduled including shop floor/facilities maintenance; stocking; distributing warehouse inventory; receiving; etc.
*KEY RELATIONSHIPS *
The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Clerk reports directly to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
In addition, this position will be expected to work and coordinate closely with the Manufacturing and Purchasing Departments.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: *
* Minimum experience of one year as a delivery driver.
* Valid, Class C (regular) driver’s license.
Good driving record with no traffic violations.
* Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a professional appearance.
* Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying (up to 75 pounds), and the ability to climb ladders.
* Ability to drive for regular shifts.
* Basic computer skills.
Experience using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* US citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holders) due to Government ITAR regulations.
*DESIRABLE*
* Experience operating a forklift or machinery
* Knowledge relating to maintaining trucks (ie: lights, brakes, oil, tires)
* Familiarity or experience with woodworking
