Apply today and tee up your career with us! Job Summary: The Member Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of SCGA membership and handicap education.
As part of the Member Services department, the Coordinator is also responsible for supporting most of the association's core service functions.
This role offers a flexible schedule, including the potential for evening and weekend work, and requires some local travel as necessary.
You can work from multiple locations, including the SCGA office in Studio City and other sites.
The Member Services Coordinator position pays $24/hour and is eligible for company benefits.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for our members by promptly and professionally answering incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications.
Provide expert guidance to club Handicap Committees on World Handicap System protocols, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Assist individual SCGA members with inquiries and fulfill member club requests, going above and beyond to meet their needs.
Take an active role in the club and individual membership process, including renewals, to help grow and maintain our membership base.
Handle additional duties and projects as assigned by our Assistant Director, Member Services & Office Operations, and Director of Club Services, contributing to the overall success of the department and organization.
Essential Qualifications: Independent work capability, coupled with a collaborative spirit to achieve organizational goals.
Proficiency in exercising sound judgment to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with adaptability to diverse audiences.
Skilled in Microsoft applications like Teams and Outlook for communication and organization.
Ability to build rapport and address member inquiries with empathy.
Strong interpersonal skills, fostering professional relationships with members and staff.
Organizational prowess, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
Capacity to multitask and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Familiarity with Golf Genius Tournament Management or Hubspot preferred.
Basic knowledge of Golf Handicap and Information Network (GHIN) products is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Time and Travel: The job may require travel, mainly throughout Southern California, and requires the employee to have the ability to operate a car safely.
The employee must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and proof of adequate car insurance.
The employee must also be able to work contiguous days with flexible scheduling over a seven-day week.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
