Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule the movement of goods and materials for efficient transportation.
- Utilize transportation management systems such as AS400, Oracle Transportation Management, and SyteLine to track shipments and manage fleet.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Perform data entry tasks to update shipment information and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor shipping and receiving activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments such as warehouse, sales, and customer service to coordinate logistics activities.
- Utilize phone systems to communicate with drivers and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dispatching or transportation management is preferred.
- Familiarity with fleet management and transportation management systems such as AS400, Oracle Transportation Management, and SyteLine.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, carriers, and customers.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus.
