JOB TITLE: Front Desk Receptionist
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM -2:00 PM.
No weekends, no holidays!
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Greeting patients
Performing check-in procedures
Maintaining current demographic and insurance information in computer and in the chart
Performing office opening procedures, petty cash balancing, co-pay/co-insurance collection, and assisting patients as needed
Primary focus is servicing patients in the lobby with backup for phones and other front office personnel
REQUIREMENTS:
2 years business/front Office experience required.
Medical and/or surgical front office experience preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Willingness to cross train in other business office roles.
Must be able to start at 5:30am.
Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures
Knowledge of computer systems, programs
Knowledge of medical terminology
Must be able to multi – task
Must be able to express compassion and kindness to patients calling and being seen in the office
Must maintain a professional and upbeat attitude
Skill in written and verbal communication and customer relations
Ability to work with effectively with medical staff, Management, authorizations, external agencies and patients
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment
Normal busy office environment with much patient contact
