*Buyer - Customer Service Manager (On-Site)*
Gift company is seeking a Buyer - Customer Service Manager.
The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of working in a purchasing department and is highly skilled in supply chain/logistics management within the gift industry (a plus but not required).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Manage daily operational activities of procurement in monitoring quality and effectiveness of workflow, bench marking and problem resolution
* Design, plan and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies
* Responsible for the procurement of products and goods for use in the business by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them and negotiating favorable payment terms
* Manage purchasing quantities to optimize product cost and meet Supply Planning inventory availability objectives
* Manage and deliver regular cost saving target initiatives
* Negotiate terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers
* Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing
* Gather pricing data, compare vendor offers for shipping rates and supply costs
* Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum inventory levels
* Manage vendor credentialing process ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and current for overseas product
* Place purchase orders, lead regular supplier production reviews, and arrange delivery Distribution center
* Expedite or push out orders as necessary to support inventory and service goals
* Oversee delivery of gift components and temperature sensitive materials to as needed
* Forecast consumer buying trends to anticipate stock level increases or decreases after the first year of project launch
* Sign up with new vendors by sending required documents, request catalogs, pricing, minimum purchase requirements and average stock levels
* Develop positive, professional relationships with vendors
* Manage returns by negotiating replacement/reimbursement
* Manage inventory and Excel Spreadsheets
* Oversee the replenishment of stock in all departments on a daily basis
* Manage/analyze daily order data via Excel Spreadsheets
* Assist in processing returns to vendors when
* Oversee the out of stock items; maintain communication with all applicable parties regarding these items
* Keep pricing on an Excel spreadsheet to compare profits
* Alert team when pricing is too low
* Manage Excel spreadsheets to capture analytics
* Website update assistance, including upload of items and pricing
* Execute all operational functions as directed by the Client Service Manager and Operations Director
* Maintain awareness of all operational functions
* Attend ALL Company meetings & trainings
Essential Creative Functions and Responsibilities
* Help create gift options and develop packaging with designer
* Develop our own private label product with vendors
* Create unique gift sets as well as additional gift solutions
* Monitor the success of all creative initiatives
* Update gift initiatives monthly
QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with active negotiation and strong decision-making skills
* Strong proficiency in Excel (a plus not required)
* Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, willing to learn, ask questions, seek solutions, active problem solve, and push for change
* Strong communication and negotiation skills - written and verbal, and ability to build cross-functional partnerships and work with cross-functional teams
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.
