Job Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) inspector is responsible for ensuring that TA Aerospace products conform to established Quality standards and customer requirements.
The candidate will utilize and variety of tools and techniques in order to inspect incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods.
The QA inspector will also be required to follow all applicable Environmental and Safety policies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Inspect a variety of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods in accordance with the established Quality Assurance procedures and customer requirements.
Follow all applicable Environmental and Safety policies and procedures.
Document inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into the ERP system and appropriate quality database.
Responsible to deliver accurate and complete information.
Perform First Articles, monitor in-process inspection and complete Final Inspection per AS9102 FAIRS.
Assemble appropriate documentation package prior to formal Material Review Board (MRB) disposition.
Put together chem/physical certifications and data packages.
Participate to Kaizen events as required.
Help maintaining compliance with all aspects of AS9100 certification.
Inspect non-conforming parts from internal rejections and customer returns.
Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of customer-specific inspection and quality documentation, marking and packaging requirements.
Candidate must be proficient with AS9102 FAIR requirements.
Basic understanding of AS9100.
Capable of applying Geometric Tolerance as outlined in ANSI Y14.

Must be able to apply shop math and simple trigonometry formulas.
Demonstrates proficiency and navigation of DSQR Customer websites.
Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
Strong commitment to performing the highest level of quality at all times.
Ability to use and read measuring devices.
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a diverse team environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications.
Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to problem solve potential issues and perform root cause analysis.
Must be able to sustain daily throughput requirements and accuracy of documentation.
Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when needed.
Physical capacity to work in a manufacturing environment with light lifting up to 35lbs required and prolonged standing.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an inspector in a manufacturing environment; preferably aerospace manufacturing.
