Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Software Engineering Intern who can work on-site in Simi Valley, CA to support our Windows Desktop application.
The application is known as ADIVS (Air Defense Interoperability Validation System) and is used to test data link capabilities (Link 16, DIS, etc) of systems prior to them being fielded as well as during live exercises.
The program includes a suite of tools including a map feature, data reduction, and link protocol interfaces.
The position will require programming, technical documentation, agile development, code reviews and on-site support.
Responsibilities :
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, integration, unit test, deployment, and maintenance of updates to deployed software components.
• Candidate will implement new software to develop capabilities in an environment based on a fast-paced agile methodology.
• Working with other engineers, the candidate will execute planning, design, development, and production of applications for Data Link processing systems.
•The candidate will also interface with project managers and customers on a regular basis, so excellent communications skills and willingness to collaborate are a must.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
• US Citizenship.
• HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
• Must be actively pursuing a BS/BA or MS/MA Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong foundation in programming; preferably in C#, C++, Java and/or Python.
• Ability to work well and cooperate successfully in a team.
• Must be able to work on-site in Simi Valley, CA on a daily basis.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based operating systems.
• Experience with MS Suite: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word.
Desired Qualifications:
• 3.
0 and above GPA.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• WPF/XAML experience.
• Data link protocol knowledge (Link-16/DIS).
• Graphics experience (DirectX, etc).
• Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Git, Subversion and TortoiseSVN/Git.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to be detailed-oriented and to prioritize work and meet quick turnaround deadlines.
• Familiar with Agile development.
• Familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio and Teams.
