Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is looking for you to join our Advanced Weapons Group as an Embedded Software Engineer / Principal Embedded Software Engineer based out of Northridge, California.

We have multiple programs needing immediate support including: Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range (AARGM-ER) Stand-in Attack Weapon (SiAW) The selected candidate’s task encompasses the following: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with systems engineers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Ensures software standards are met.
What you’ll get to do: Design and build embedded software prototypes to demonstrate new concepts for virtualizing processor hardware on modern platforms.
Leverage embedded programming skills to run real-time software from aircraft, ships, and other military applications inside a virtual machine.
Research and develop techniques for automatically generating software from a model.
Work as part of a talented team to solve challenging problems that have real-world impact.
Proactively interact with customers by presenting project status, technical findings and technical demonstrations.

Experience with digital logic and bitwise operators Experience with makefiles and Linux/bash scripting Salary Range: $87,200 - $130,800 Salary Range 2: $107,300 - $160,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
