Implement games, crafts, sports, songs and more within the established guidelines.
Nurture children while building achievement and belonging.
Supervise the children, classroom or site, and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate.
Make ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
Use positive reinforcement techniques to address children's behavioral concerns.
Encourage positive social skills and appropriate behavior by example
"I can do this!" What are the requirements?
Minimum 16 years old
Basic knowledge of acceptable child care and day camp practices.
Demonstrates initiative to plan, lead and participate in activities.
Certifications (must be maintained and current at all times):
Either in person or blended learning Pediatric CPR & First Aid certifications through either: American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor / indoor settings.
This position may require the ability to stand and / or sit for extended periods of time, wade in water in order to supervise children, able to walk continuously at least ½ mile, spend a full workday outdoors in any weather condition.
