Completely Rebuilt, zero mile 1968 Large Journal 327 (I believe this was a factory HP motor) small block chevy SBC This was what I believe was the numbers matching motor out of one on my 1968 Camaros.
When I sent out to machine shop, the bored .
030, decked it amd installed new cam bearings (unfortunately the vin number is now gone and there is no way to tie this to my car definitively anymore therefore I am willing to sell) Short block is .
030 over, new pistons, all new bearings (cam-rod and main) comp cams hyd cam with roller rockers , new high pressure pump, new double roller chain Casting number 3914660 Camaro Chevelle Nova and possibly corvette could be used in anything C10 suburban Monte elco etc Date code J 31 7 (October 31 1967 ) if I’m correct (this would be correct for 1968 model year) Heads 64cc Camel hump FI HP heads Heads completely reworked with new guides, positive lock seals , and LS1 valves turned down to 1.
94 intake and 1.
5 exhaust with LS9 valve springs, locks and retainers Casting number 3917291 date code (both heads) i 28 7 (September 28 1967 if I’m correct ).
Again, this should be correct date code for a 1968 Engine is fully assembled and ready to install.
This engine was built to look and be correct for my 1968 camaro with a performance hydraulic camshaft and roller rockers I have not installed the intake (again, 1968 date coded 4bbl manifold Casting 3919803 327/295hp manifold Date code C 11 8 (March 11 1968 if I’m not mistaken) Again I haven’t installed in case you want to use a lighter aluminum one Only reason I am listing this is because we are building the car for my son (16).
Having a date coded engine is not important to him amd I’d like to recoup some of the money I’ve spent to get this all together Id love to see this go to someone who needs/wants a 1968 327.
Of course this can be used in pretty much anything , and think it will be a solid performing nice 327 for anyone who buys it.
If no one pics it up soon, we will End up putting it in the car, getting cam broke in and some break in miles on it.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you need any further details I do have the correct 327 valve covers as well, however they won’t fit with the roller rockers.
If you want to run those , I’d recommend factory style long slot rockers with Roller tips (I can order and swap out if we make a deal ) see last picture (they are not included as is) Thanks
